    Dr Sandhya Sriram
    CEO & Co-founder, Shiok Meats

    Dr Sandhya Sriram is the CEO and Co-founder of Shiok Meats Pte. Ltd., Singapore, the first cell-based seafood & meat company in Southeast Asia and the first cell-based Crustacean company globally. With her at the helm, Shiok Meats has raised USD 30 Million in funding since its inception in 2018, the highest ever by a cell-based meat company in Southeast Asia from a global suite of investors – USA, Europe, Singapore, Japan, South Korea to name a few. A stem cell biologist and scientist by training and education, a former business development professional, a serial entrepreneur, and a thought leader – all in one – Sandhya was recently named as part of the 2021 class of Bloomberg New Economy Catalysts and as one of Forbes Women in Tech. She is also an advisor and investor to trailblazing Food Tech start-ups and has spoken at leading industry conferences worldwide. A proud mother to a 7-year-old, a ‘conscious lifestyle’ blogger, and an avid traveler, Sandhya likes to call herself a ‘productive juggler’.

    Dr Wong Mun Yew
    Founder & Managing Director, Imagene Labs

    Dr Wong Mun Yew is the Founder & Managing Director of Imagene Labs. He is also an angel investor, and supports a couple of start-ups in Singapore as advisor and mentor. Mun Yew worked more than 10 years in the investment industry. Between 2013 to 2016, he was an Asia Business Development Operating Partner at Formation8 Partners – a successful Silicon Valley technology venture capital fund where his focus was on Singapore and South East Asia. He began his investment career in 2005 with global healthcare private equity fund Bio*One Capital, before becoming Senior Vice President at EDB Investments (EDBI) where he led EDBI’s cleantech investment team. He has served as a director for Codexis Inc. (Nasdaq: CDXS), Amaranth Medical Inc., and was board observer in Fluidigm Corp (Nasdaq: FLDM), Revance Therapeutics (Nasdaq: RVNC) and Innovalight Inc (acquired by DuPont). He also gained experience in business development and operations in healthcare services, and spent time in China as Vice President (International Operations) at Parkway Pantai Limited – a subsidiary of IHH Healthcare Berhad. Prior to investing, Mun Yew practised clinical medicine for 7 years in Singapore. Mun Yew holds a Medical Degree and Diploma in Dermatology from the National University of Singapore.

    Dr Zhang Yanliang
    Founder & Chief Scientist, Weston Robot

    Dr Zhang Yanliang is the founder and chief scientist at Weston Robot, a Singapore-based deep-tech robotics company. Yanliang received his bachelor in computer engineering, and Ph.D. in robotics from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) in 2006 and 2010, respectively. He did his robotics research at University of Toronto in Canada from 2010 to 2011 and served as the founding robotics product and industry manager at MathWorks in Boston, USA from 2011 to 2015. Dr. Zhang is a serial entrepreneur, with his first deep-tech startup acquired by a US company in 2011. He is a passionate evangelist helping researchers and students transfer their innovations from labs to startups with proven track records. He managed a few investment funds and invested several startups in the past 6 years. He serves as a visiting professor, chief scientist and startup mentor in top universities, institutions, incubators, and private funds, and is often invited to give courses at top MBA programs.

    Tay Woon Teck is currently Managing Director of RSM’s Business Consulting division. He consults and assists entrepreneurs in building a corporate culture of resilience. His area of work is focused on helping entrepreneurs discover and preserve value in their business, create or co-create values through innovation and digitalisation, rehabilitate ailing companies and recover from failures. He works with our economic agencies to promote Singapore as a hub for global businesses, assist our entrepreneurs in connecting with ASEAN and the world through RSM network of firms. He is a frequent speaker on ASEAN, Belt Road Initiatives and Managing Digitalisation and Transformation. Woon Teck currently teaches corporate governance and risk management in the School of Business (Accountancy) of the Singapore University of Social Sciences. He was an adjunct faculty member in the Singapore Management University between 2007 and 2016 where he designed and taught the Corporate Advisory Programme for both the Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Professional Accounting programmes. He was invited as a guest lecturer in the National University of Singapore’s Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration programmes to share his practical insights on “Managing Cross-border Investment Risk”.
