Dr. Kai-Fu Lee is the Chairman and CEO of Sinovation Ventures (www.sinovationventures.com/) and President of Sinovation Venture’s Artificial Intelligence Institute. Sinovation Ventures, managing US$3 billion dual currency investment funds, is a leading is a leading venture capital firm focusing on developing the next generation deep tech companies in China. Prior to founding Sinovation in 2009, Dr. Lee was the President of Google China, and senior executives at Microsoft, SGI, and Apple. Dr. Lee received his Bachelor degree from Computer Science from Columbia University, Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as Honorary Doctorate Degrees from both Carnegie Mellon and the City University of Hong Kong. He is the Co-Chair of Artificial Intelligence Council for World Economic Forum Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Times 100 in 2013, WIRED 25 Icons, and followed by over 50 million audience on social media.
In the field of artificial intelligence, Dr. Lee built one of the first game playing programs to defeat a world champion (1988, Othello), as well as the world’s first large-vocabulary, speaker independent continuous speech recognitionsystem. Dr. Lee founded Microsoft Research China, later renamed Microsoft Research Asia, which was named as the hottest research lab by MIT Technology Review. While with Apple, Dr. Lee led AI projects in speech and natural language, which have been featured on Good Morning America on ABC Television and the front page of Wall Street Journal. He has authored 10 U.S. patents, and more than 100 journal and conference papers. Altogether, Dr. Lee has been in artificial intelligence research, development, and investment for more than 30 years. His New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling book AI Superpowers: China, Silicon Valley, and the New World Order (aisuperpowers.com) discusses US-China co-leadership in the age of AI as well as the greater societal impacts brought upon by the AI technology revolution. His new co-authored book AI 2041 published in fall 2021 explores how artificial intelligence will change our world over the next twenty years.
Durwin Ho is the Chief Executive Officer at StartupX. He founded StartupX in 2018 following a decade working with early-stage founders across Asia and pioneered the pre-accelerator model for startups in Asia. In his current role, he consults with corporations and governments in Asia to drive innovation and accelerate the next generation of startups across the sustainability, Web3 and Industry 4.0 space.
In 2014, he launched Startup Weekend Singapore, a non-profit, volunteer-led initiative that has supported over 3000+ innovators from 70+ countries to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey through launching a startup over a weekend. He started his journey in tech and startups at growing startup AppBackr in Palo Alto. Prior to his current role, he took over the reins of his family’s business in early-childhood education and continues to serve as an advisor to the business today.
Durwin graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Masters of Science (Business Administration).
Kelvin Lam is the Chief Operating Officer of YouTrip, a regional financial technology company dedicated to creating a next-generation digital banking experience in Southeast Asia. Having founded the YouTrip operations in Singapore, and expanded the brand overseas to Thailand, Kelvin manages and oversees the local market growth and regional expansion of YouTrip in Singapore, Thailand, and other upcoming future markets in Southeast Asia.
Prior to YouTrip, Kelvin was the Managing Director in Compare Asia Group, a regional fintech group focusing on helping consumers across Asia find the right financial products at the most competitive price. Before starting his entrepreneurial journey, Kelvin was an Associate Director in UBS Investment Bank, advising tech, consumer, and financial corporates on Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets transactions.
Nichol Ng is CEO and Managing Director of X-Inc Pte Ltd, the parent of a group of companies that has been in the food business since the 1930s. She oversees about 180 employees, more than 5,000 products, over 4,500 customers, and an annual turnover exceeding S$70 million. The X-Inc group comprises FoodXervices Inc, GroXers Inc, LogiXtics Inc, X Properties Inc, and PlotX Inc. Together, the companies bring to life dreams in the food ecosystem – from foodservice and retail to logistics and property. It was her passion for food as well as a desire to deliver service with a heart that drove Nichol to acquire the family business and rebrand and restructure the company in May 2007. Prior to this, she was a Marketing Executive of MediaCorp Radio Pte Ltd where she was part of the team in charge of re-branding all the MediaCorp radio stations, including Class 95, Y.E.S 933,Perfect 10 987 and Gold 90.
In 2012, Nichol co-founded The Food Bank Singapore (FBSG), a charity with a mission to eradicate food insecurity in Singapore by 2025. FBSG re-distributes excess foods to more than 300 non-profit organisations that reach out to more than 300,000 underprivileged. For her effort in feeding the needy, Nichol was named as one of the 10 honourees in The Peak magazine’s The Peak Power List 2016 and listed in Forbes Asia’s 2017 Heroes of Philanthropy and Harper’s Bazaar’s The Power List 2018. In 2021, she was the Southeast Asia honouree of the YPO Global Impact Award Regional, which recognises young CEOs for their impact outside of YPO, celebrating CEO impact that is both sustainable and scalable.

Lai Chang Wen is CEO and Co-Founder of Ninja Van – Southeast Asia’s leading technology-enabled logistics company. The company was started in 2014 by him and his two other Co-Founders Boxian and Shaun when they realised the market potential of catering to the logistics needs of the e-commerce industry.
With a focus on taking the hassle out of the parcel deliveries for customers, Chang Wen and his team are dedicated to ensuring that logistics is a simple and seamless affair for their business partners and consumers. Specialising in e-commerce deliveries, Ninja Van believes in powering businesses with innovative logistics solutions. The company believes in offering a consistent hassle-free delivery experience for merchants across Southeast Asia and providing clients with a singular access point into the region. With plans to continue expanding and serving in the current markets the company operates in, Chang Wen’s vision is for Ninja Van to open Southeast Asia to a world of possibilities, one delightful delivery at a time.
Chang Wen graduated with a Bachelor of Finance from Singapore Management University and worked as a derivatives trader at Barclays before setting up men’s custom fashion retailer Marcella. His experience with the online retail business made him realise there could be a more efficient way of delivering and tracking packages, resulting in the creation of Ninja Van.
A natural-born entrepreneur, Chang Wen conceived his first business venture when he was a student, having discovered that putting together second-hand bicycle parts and selling the finished product could land him a neat profit. He is passionate about harnessing technology to improve lives and enjoys adapting classical mathematical models to provide real-world solutions.
Professor Annie Koh is Professor Emeritus of Finance (Practice) at Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU). She is a renowned conference speaker, panel moderator and commentator. Professor Koh is appointed as Chairman of Prime US REIT. In addition, Professor Koh is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on New Agenda for Work, Wages and Job Creation. She also chairs the Asian Bond Fund 2 supervisory committee for the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and is a committee member of Singapore’s Customs Advisory Council and HR Transformation Advisory Panel. She is currently an independent director of AMTD IDEA Group, PBA Group, Prudential Assurance Company Singapore Pte Ltd and Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd. She previously served on GovTech, Singapore’s CPF, HMI and K1 Ventures boards.
Professor Koh also advises privately owned enterprises such as Flexxon Pte Ltd. and TOP International, and startups such as Dedoco, Elevate Tech, Hyperscal Solutions Pte Ltd, Pyxis Maritime Pte Ltd, RABC Holdings Pte Ltd, StashAway, SWAT Mobility, and non-profits such as Cyber Youth Singapore and WWF Singapore. She has been an investment committee member of iGlobe Partners since July 2010, advisor to CUBE3 Ventures since October 2021, and Asia Food Sustainability Fund since February 2022. Previously held leadership positions at SMU include Vice President for Business Development; V3 Group Professor of Family Entrepreneurship; Academic Director of Business Families Institute and International Trading Institute; Associate Dean, Lee Kong Chian School of Business; and Dean, Office of Executive and Professional Education.
Professor Koh received her Ph.D. degree in International Finance as a Fulbright scholar from Stern School of Business, New York University in 1988. Her research interests are in Family Office and Family Business, Investor Behaviour, Alternative Investments and Enterprise Risk Management. She co-authored Financial Management: Theory and Practice, 2nd edition (2021), and Financing Internationalisation – Growth Strategies for Successful Companies (2004), co-editor of Asian Family Business: Succession, Governance and Innovation (2020), and author of a number of Asian family business cases and survey reports. In recognition of her contribution to education and the public sector, she was awarded the bronze and silver Singapore Public Administration medal in 2010 and 2016 respectively, and the Adult Education Prism Award in 2017.

Manoj is the chief architect for Singtel Enterprise 5G network and MEC (Edge computing) and his team builds 5G Paragon platform that Singtel uses to deploy 5G and MEC for all enterprise customers in Singapore and also in the region through associates. 5G Paragon platform has also been rolled out by Manoj’s team in the region in Singtel’s associate telco networks including Optus in Australia and AIS in Thailand. Manoj is also responsible for the software development of IoT solutions and his team is rolling out Smart access solution to over 12000 electricity substations in Singapore. Manoj is a data scientist by background with 15 years of experience in Telecom industry. His expertise is in Distributed Systems, Big data and Machine Learning. He holds over 20 international patents in this space.

Jonas specializes in industry threat expertise with in-depth knowledge in threat intelligence, exploits, penetration testing, machine learning, and advanced malware concepts. As a cybersecurity professional, Jonas advises and engages clients and executive leaders on solution strategies in several industry segments. He works closely with FortiGuard Labs and Fortinet System Engineering to respond to advanced threats as they break – and proactively plans to stay ahead of the curve. Roshni Mahtani Cheung is the Group CEO and Founder of parent-tech company The Parentinc, whose triumphs include: theAsianparent, the world’s highest-rated parenting app and SEA’s largest content and community platform for parents reaching 35 million users monthly; Mama’s Choice, an award-winning direct-to consumer brand that manufactures and retails safe, natural, and Halal pregnancy, nursing, baby care, and household products; and Webtretho and Bé Yêu, Vietnam’s largest community platforms for women and mothers.
Roshni has over 15 years of media and marketing experience across the US and Asia Pacific. She is also actively involved in the startup community. In 2015, she co-founded the 2,000-member strong Female Founders Network, a non-profit organisation with the vision to accelerate the female founder ecosystem in Singapore.
Besides her interest in the startup world, Roshni is also an executive producer of Untouchable: Children of God, a documovie about young girls in the brothels of India and how they are sold and trafficked from Nepal. Roshni is also an Obama Leader and a member of its inaugural APAC 2019/2020 batch.
Outside of leading a company, fundraising, or mentoring female founders, Roshni spends precious moments with her husband and their daughter.
Carmen Yuen joined Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India in 2014. She has served many years in Singapore’s government-backed venture capital initiatives including EDB Investments. Not only was she working with overseas startups, she was also involved in investing in local promising enterprises including journeying with some of them to IPO / exits. Thereafter, Carmen was GM at Spring SEEDS Capital where she worked closely with many startups & early stage investors in Singapore, and formulated policies to steer more funds to the early stage scene.
At Vertex, Carmen seeks out investment opportunities in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. She currently serves on the Board of TickledMedia (dba TheAsianParent.com), Sunday Insurance, Speedoc and Turnkey Lender. Carmen received her BBA from Simon Fraser University.
John Cheng is the Founder and Managing Director of Innovate 360, Singapore’s first venture capital food accelerator with facilities. It helps more than 80 agri-food tech startups in areas of mentorship, venture funding, expertise, and access to markets since 2018. It is an accredited mentor partner supported by the Singapore government and recognized as a technical partner by Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Policy Partnership on Food Security. In 2021, he launched foodculture.sg, an e-commerce platform that helps companies go digital, engage consumers, and go global. Prior to Innovate 360, he worked at his 75-year-old family business, transforming and modernizing the business for more than 12 years.
John is a key driver in the Singapore food innovation ecosystem. He is the co-founder and chairman of Feed 9 Billion, an open innovation ecosystem platform, that looks at promoting sustainability and innovation through collaboration to feed 9 billion people by 2050. Under his leadership, it launched the Good Food Startup Manual: Singapore edition to help food entrepreneurs in their startup journey and the alternative protein database. He is a member of the Ministry’s of Trade’s Pro-enterprise Panel (PEP) that helps companies overcome regulatory hurdles, as well as part of the Singapore Food Story (SFS) Thematic Scientific Evaluation Panel that helps scientists receive grants for their research. He also is an academic advisory committee member for Chemicals & Life Sciences at the Institute of Technical Education(ITE).
Outside of work, he is an active alumnus at his alma mater, the Singapore Management University(SMU). He is co-founder and president of the SMU Business Families Alumni Group. He was part of SMU “Imagine Better” project that raised funds to help students with financial needs in 2019 before joining the SMU Alumni Philanthropic Council, where he currently advises the school on raising funds. He has been a member of Club-100 @ North West Community Development Council since 2017 fostering the culture of community involvement and philanthropy. He holds position at the Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI)’s Youth Business Affairs Committee Executive Committee and the Singapore Manufacturer Federation’s Youth Network Committee. Michelle Khoo is the Director for Deloitte’s Center for the Edge, Southeast Asia – a futures think tank exploring opportunities on the edge of business and technology. She leads the Center’s research efforts, bringing over a decade of experience in advising business and government leaders about strategies for the long term. She is passionate about shaping a more sustainable, fairer and inclusive future whether in the physical or digital realms, applying her policy experience to analyze the implications of future business models and technologies. Key research topics for the Center are the next internet (including the metaverse), the future of work, sustainability, disruption, innovation and transformation.
Ng Ming Jie is the Deputy Director of the Consumer Protection Division at the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS). In his role, Ming Jie supervises the conduct of investigations against errant suppliers who persistently engage in unfair trade practices under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003. He also supervises the conduct of market studies to better understand and improve the state of competition and consumer protection in different sectors and industries in Singapore.
An economist by training, Ming Jie joined CCCS in 2009 after graduating with a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining the Consumer Protection Division in April 2022, Ming Jie was the Deputy Director of the Business & Economics and Policy & Markets Divisions. Ming Jie has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in European Union Competition Law from King’s College London in 2014. Ming Jie was awarded the Commendation Medal of the National Day Award in 2020.
Jin Wei has over a decade of experience advising companies on intellectual property matters at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). She has delivered strategic IP management solutions to diverse industries including agritech, manufacturing, medical and health technology, information technology and retail. She was also involved in impact-driven IPOS initiatives which helped shape Singapore’s innovation ecosystem such as the IP Management programmes for government agencies and enterprises as well as the recent Singapore IP Strategy 2030.
Jin Wei has an Honours degree in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University, a Graduate Diploma from Singapore Management University in Communication Management and Innovation and a master’s in intellectual property and innovation management from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. She is also a Registered Management Consultant (RMC) and is recognised as one of the world’s leading IP Strategists by IAM Strategy 300.
Lin Ruiwen is the Executive Director of Sheng Siong Group Ltd. She is responsible for identifying, charting and implementing sustainable business strategies in new growth areas, especially in merchandising, marketing, management and business development for fresh fruits and vegetables. She also chairs the Business Excellence, Sustainability and Risk Management committees of the Group.
Before taking on the role of Executive Director, Ms Lin joined the Group in 2009 as a Manager of International Business Development and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2014. At that time,
she was already managing the direct sourcing, import pricing, marketing and merchandising of the company’s fresh fruits and vegetables.
From 2021 to 2023, Ms Lin is appointed as a member of the Standards Development Organisation’s Technical Committee on Food Processing and Distribution. She has also been appointed as a member of the Singapore Business Federation Jobs and Skills Advisory Committee from 2021 to 2022. Ms Lin obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from Sciences Po Paris, France, in 2009. She graduated from Singapore Management University in 2005, with a Bachelor of Science (Economics) Degree. Currently, Ms Lin serves as the Secretary to the CDAC@Ang Mo Kio Management Committee.
She is also the daughter of the Group’s Executive Chairman, Mr Lim Hock Eng.
Ng Yi-Xian oversees the operations of the EtonHouse International Education Group which runs schools from infant care to high school in 11 countries across 120 campuses. As a second-generation entrepreneur and son of founder Ng Gim Choo, he is driven to take the group to the next level — he has been instrumental in the creation of new brands such as the Middleton International School, a revolutionary niche of affordable international schools in Singapore and The Eton Academy, that provides inquiry led academic enrichment programmes from Nursery to Primary 6.
Prior to joining EtonHouse, Mr. Ng worked in finance in the United States. He was an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse’s New York Global Industrials Group, where he focused on mergers, acquisitions, and debt and equity financings. Thereafter Mr. Ng joined North Run Capital, a hedge fund based in Boston, where he sourced, researched, analysed and executed on investments.

A father of twin boys, Yi-Xian is experiencing the joys and challenges of parenthood while he also oversees the education and well-being of more than 20,000 students in the EtonHouse schools.

Professor Yeung Wei-Jun Jean is a Provost-Chair Professor in the Department of Sociology at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Before Singapore, her academic career includes more than 20 years at the University of Michigan and New York University. She is the inaugural President of the Population Association of Singapore and the founding Director of the Center for Family and Population Research in NUS. She is a council member of the International Sociological Association RC06 and was a council member of the Asian Population Association in 2018-2021. Professor Yeung has received many prestigious awards and led national surveys on family and children’s well-being in countries including the USA, China, and Singapore. Professor Yeung’s current research includes various family demographic issues in Asia. She has published extensively in leading journals, cited widely in academic publications and high-impact global media, and served on the editorial boards of many leading international journals. Her recent publications include volumes on Family and Demographic Transition in Southeast Asia, Family and Population Changes in Singapore, Productive Aging, Young People in Uncertain Labor Markets, Family and Economic Stress in Asia, Family Policies and Care Regime in Asia, and Migration and Marriage in Asian Contexts.

Liau Eng Soon joined IMDA from A*STAR in May 2020 as Cluster Director for Trade and Connectivity (T&C). Although Eng Soon is new to IMDA, the work areas are not new to him. He led the Industry Development Group (IDG) in A*STAR, where T&C was part of the portfolio. During his time in A*STAR, he worked with both MNCs and local enterprises, including SMEs, helping them with technology innovations and productivity improvement. He strongly believes that technology and digitalization will help our companies gain competitive advantages in the marketplace.
Eng Soon assumed Cluster Director for Digital Utilities in Apr 2022. In this new portfolio, he oversees the Digital Utilities Strategy, as well as the development of IMDA’s current suite of Digital Utilities – E-Invoice, TradeTrust and SGTraDex. He is also concurrently the CEO of SGTraDex Technologies Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of IMDA.
Eng Soon is an Aeronautical Engineer by training and he spent 20 years in the Republic of Singapore Air Force as an Air Engineering Officer. He joined IMDA after spending 8 years in A*STAR.
Philip Weiner oversees the data insights function at bolttech. Over his career, Philip has used his passion and creativity to put customers’ needs first and create new and unique data-driven solutions. Prior to joining us, Philip worked in insurance and consulting across various functions including product, finance, and risk management.

Tay Woon Teck is currently the Managing Director of RSM’s Business Consulting and Head of Private Client Services. He consults and assists entrepreneurs to build a corporate culture of resilience. Before joining Deloitte, he spent 8 years as a sustainability leader at an international professional firm, and 10 years as the China Director of an APAC based sustainability consulting firm. Brian has been leading engagement teams to work with clients on ESG implementation such as ESG strategy, ESG investment frameworks, governance and management, internal controls, data management, sustainable finance assurance for issuers. He holds a number of positions in sustainability sector and now are proactively promoting the development of climate and sustainability in the region. He is also a PhD candidate focusing on governance and ESG.
Lee Woon Shiu is Group Head of Wealth Planning, Family Office and Insurance Solutions at DBS Private Bank.
Lee has over 20 years of experience in advising multi generations of ultra-high net worth families in Asia Pacific on the strategic structuring of their governance, succession and philanthropy concerns. Shirley Lim is the General Manager of Fullerton Health Foundation and the ESG Officer for Fullerton Health.
Shirley is uniquely positioned to Do Good for the company through the Foundation, promoting Affordability and Accessibility to Healthcare. She has successfully led the Foundation to achieve a charity status and implemented the sustainability program for Fullerton Health as the ESG Officer. Shirley resided in the US for almost 30 years and was part of the American Red Cross as their Branch Manager with the Greater Hartford Chapter in Connecticut.
Due to her passion for the philanthropic sector, Shirley returned to Singapore to continue her calling of being of service to others and bringing much-needed programs to vulnerable communities.

Kah Howe is active in the Built Environment as Singapore Construction Association Ltd Young Leader. Together with his family, he looks after the construction and property development business. Having participated and learnt from the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre’s Company of Good scheme, they have clinched the top project of creating a mobile application called Grow Studio for migrant workers. Their CSR scheme helps migrant workers to improve by teaching English language and other skills in their native mother tongue such as Tamil, Burmese, Chinese etc. With better communication skills, the migrant workers can have a better chance of climbing the career ladder. The project benefits both the construction company and the migrant workers, creating value for both.
Ms Melissa Kwee

Melissa Kwee is the third Chief Executive Officer of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC). As the spokesperson for a wide range of causes, she has been involved in mobilising resources and people to aid in community development. She has assumed roles as the Chairman of Halogen Foundation, a
youth leadership organisation and President of UN Women Singapore (formerly known as Unifem Singapore), where she tackled trafficking issues and initiated various community campaigns to engage and empower youth as advocates.
She received the Singapore Youth Award in 2007 and Asean Youth Award 2008 for her leadership and service. To help teenage girls on probation reintegrate into society, she founded Beautiful People, a programme of Beyond Social Services, which pairs mentors with teenage girls to offer guidance, life skills, and friendship. Upon returning to Singapore, she started Project Access — a values-based
leadership education initiative to inspire and equip girls and young women to be role models for positive change.
Her career has spanned the public, private and community sectors as anthropologist, researcher, educational programme designer, social innovator and as a catalyst in the private sector. She has served on many public service
and community boards to advance the mission of causes she believes in including the National Arts Council, the Singapore Repertory Theatre, the ITE Board of Governors and Prison Fellowship International. She is currently on the
boards of Crest Secondary, a specialised school for technical education in Singapore; 70×7, an initiative by the Prison Fellowship Singapore, Pontiac Land Group and Honestbee.
She holds a degree in anthropology from Harvard College and received a Fulbright Scholarship to study ethnic-based community leadership in Nepal.
Fang Eu-Lin is a Partner with PwC Singapore. She leads the Sustainability and Climate Change practice in Singapore and is part of the wider Global ESG Leadership team. She has over 19 years of experience at PwC (Singapore and London) and has extensive experience in sustainability and climate advisory and assurance engagements. During her career, she has led projects including across financial services (consumer and corporate banking primarily), real estate, oil and gas, utilities, shipping, telecommunications, resources and healthcare. Eu-Lin also serves on the Expert Board for Appeals under Singapore Carbon Pricing Act at Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, ACCA’s global sustainability advisory member and advisory board member of NUS Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (focused on sustainability reporting research). She is also the Audit and Risk Chairman of a healthcare-related not-for-profit and the Audit and Risk Chairman of a education institute in Singapore.
